Service Description

The chef brings all ingredients, prepares the meal in your kitchen, serves each dish, and cleans your kitchen before leaving. All you have to do is to relax and enjoy a culinary experience.

About The Chef

Walkin and I grew up in different parts of the country but have similar culinary backgrounds. I started cooking at the age of 19 and Walkin at 16. We both worked in fine dining restaurants in cape town, moved on to work in the Sabi Sands, Walkin worked for Singita Tanzania and Singita Sabi Sands and I at Lion Sands Ivory Lodge. Walkin then moved across to Lion sands Ivory lodge which is where we met and began our culinary career together. We then both moved to Silvan Safari Lodge also based in the Sabi Sands, where we did relief work for 4 months as head chef and senior pastry chef. We are now looking to create our own platform for people to experience our culinary creations and blow people away with our modern, contemporary, classic style of cooking and use of ingredients.

Starter
Carrot and sage risotto with carrot puree, sage crisps, parmesan and baby carrot ribbons

Main
Poached Chicken breast stuffed with butternut caramelised onion feta stuffing with butternut purée, crushed baby potatoes, charred sweet corn and pea salsa with roasted garlic jus.

Dessert
Dark Chocolate Tart served with Amarula crème anglaise, Italian méringue and homemade honeycomb.

Bread
Garlic and rosemary focaccia served with sundried tomato butter

Starter
Roasted Red pepper and Tomato Soup served with a gratinated  cheese crouton and basil oil.

Sauvignon Blanc
Pulled Pork croquettes served with caramelised apple and beetroot purée, fresh apple, baby beetroots, pickled fennel and split fennel and herb sauce. Wine pairing recommendation.(To be purchased separately by the host prior to the event)
Pinot Noir

Main
Upside-down baked apple cake
Served with hot custard and fresh cream

Chenin Blanc

Confit Duck served with 5 spice carrot puree, baby carrots, Tenderstem broccoli wild mushroom and sherry jus.

Grapefruit and Rosemary palate cleanser

Dukkah spiced goats' cheese, candied ginger, cinnamon gastrique and lavash

Dahl Soup with a homemade potatoes' samosa and chili bites.

Durban Beef Curry served with mini rotis, sambals, raita, poppadoms. 

Tandoori Spiced Duck breast with coriander and lime yoghurt dressing.
